Data-driven creative and media agency, R2C Group, announced today that David Kohel has joined the company as their first ever Chief Technology Officer. As CTO, Kohel will be responsible for evolving the technology strategy, scaling IT systems and infrastructure, deepening product development expertise, and driving technical execution to create best-in-class media management and measurement solutions. He will have technology oversight of R2C’s proprietary Tracker™ platform, and will work across other R2C Group businesses to further advance technology-fueled advanced media attribution solutions. He will report to R2C Group Holding Company President and COO Jane Crisan, and will operate out of the company’s Portland, Oregon headquarters.

Kohel has a proven track record in delivering new and disruptive products and experiences to market. A technology visionary, Kohel was responsible for delivering market leading technologies for industry giants including Nike, Kroger and a late stage startup, ZOOM+.

Most recently, Kohel was Founder and Managing Partner at Theory Venture Partners, a boutique venture-management firm. Prior to founding Theory, Kohel was CTO at ZOOM+, a Portland-based healthcare delivery system. At ZOOM+ he was instrumental in rebuilding the urgent care system for the on-demand generation, launching a groundbreaking online and mobile chat platform, building the security and privacy functions and strengthening ZOOM+’s enterprise operations organization.

“It’s a very exciting time to join R2C Group,” said Kohel. “I’m looking forward to working with an exceptional team to advance and shape technology platforms at the core of our clients’ experiences.”
“Dave is a seasoned leader with a proven record in both technology and operations,” said Crisan. “His experience delivering disruptive technology solutions will be key as we continue to evolve our behavioral media measurement, advanced targeting and programmatic offerings. We needed leadership talent with deep experience in cloud, big data, analytics and security to take us to the next level.”
