In early 2025, Rain the Growth Agency leveraged their online quantitative survey tool, Mindreader™, to obtain insights about women’s sports fans and identify how engagement has evolved since an original 2023 study.

Key findings from our research:

  • Women’s sports are here to stay – all generational cohorts saw an increase in viewership, particularly on streaming services.
  • Consuming sports tends to be an emotional experience and can provide a sense of community for fans, especially among Millennials.
  • Women’s sports fans show significantly greater brand engagement than men’s-only sports fans.
